Driving Instructions to Aultmore Hollow Bed & Breakfast from Taupo town
- Take the westwards exit from the roundabout at the northern end of Tongariro Street. This exit is into Spa Road; you will have the Countdown supermarket on your left. Reset your trip meter to zero.
- Continue on Spa Road.
- After 1.7 km you will pass Taupo Bungy on your left and have Carters building supplies yard on your right. A traffic island is ahead of you. Follow the road marking arrow round to the right into Tauhara Road (up a slight rise)
- Continue on Tauhara Road. After a further 1.7 km (3.4 km travelled from the roundabout) you will have a BP petrol station on your right. Continue up the slope following the straight ahead road marking, which actually is a slight bear left.
- You are now on Broadlands Road and leaving the urban area.
- Continue on Broadlands Road. You will pass the Taupo Motorsport Park on your left (approx 7.1 km from your starting point) and travel through dairy farming and forestry country.
- At approx 22.8km from the starting point roundabout, turn left out of Broadlands Road into River Road. As a landmark, shortly before this turn, on your left you will see an aeroplane parked in a paddock! (If you are travelling in the dark look for the solitary street light at the River Road intersection instead)
- Our driveway, with the number 615 on the letterbox, is approx 600 m down River Road, on the left between the 50km speed restriction sign and the first streetlight.
- Aultmore Hollow is at the end of this driveway. Continue through the gate and down the slope. You have arrived!
